The news links provided on LDS Today are to articles from periodicals across the world that mention the Church and its members. Sometimes the articles reflect the Church and its members in a positive light, and sometimes they do not.  The editor tries to list those articles that would be of most interest to church members towards the top of the list of articles on any given day.  Those articles that would be of less interest to members or that portray the Church negatively are generally listed towards the end of the day's list of articles.  The intent of the news section of the site is to let members know how the Church is being portrayed in the media -- whether good or bad or indifferent.  The editor is an active member of the Church and welcomes feedback on the site.

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
